Privacy
This site collects very little, and nothing without asking.
What is collected
Nothing, by default. The site has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no cookies of its own. It does not know who you are. If you switch between light and dark, your browser remembers the choice; it is never sent anywhere.
If you subscribe to the digest, your email address is held by MailerLite, which sends the monthly email on the author’s behalf. It is used for that and nothing else, is never sold or shared, and every email carries an unsubscribe link that removes it at once. MailerLite’s own privacy policy governs how it stores the address. You confirm your subscription by email before anything is sent.
If you play a video, the recording is served by YouTube, which sets its own cookies from that moment. Nothing from YouTube loads until you click play; the still image you see first is served by this site.
If you write to the author, the email is read by him and kept in his mailbox for as long as the correspondence is useful.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived, aggregate connection logs for security. The site’s author does not receive them.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand) and, where it applies, the GDPR, you may ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the correspondence address in the footer.
Changes
This page is dated. If it changes, the date changes with it.
